BG and USFA continue to leverage partnership for public safety
The U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) has recently started airing the new “Up In Smoke” series of broadcast public service announcements (PSAs) to aid families across the country in home fire prevention. The PSAs highlight several key fire safety messages that if put into action, can prevent injuries and save lives.
Brunet-García has worked closely with the USFA since 2013, and developed the concept for the “Up In Smoke” campaign. Distilling the essence of an important safety message into a compelling and motivational narrative was a rewarding experience for the creative team. “Up In Smoke” is a part of USFA’s broader national initiative, Fire Is Everyone’s Fight™, which aims to change the way people think about fire and fire prevention. With the help of Brunet-García, the USFA hopes to continue reducing the number of fire-related injuries, deaths, and property loss per year.
