When I began at Brunet-García as a college student and intern in January of 2016, I had no idea that five months later I would find myself as a full-time employee jumping right into ad campaigns, logo creation, poster designs, and so much more. Not only did my time as an intern here introduce me to the world of design-for-good, but it also gave me the opportunity to connect with the talented team at B|G. The transformation from a student to a member of the work force is never an easy one, but the agency has supported my transition and continues to guide me not only as a designer and member of the team, but in my personal endeavors as well.
So far, my time at Brunet-García has helped me to design in a way that is transformative and meaningful. I take a strategic approach that is unique to each client’s needs. What I love the most about the work that we do here, and what is truly at the heart of the agency, is the work I have done on projects that are important and have meaning to me. Some of the highlights for me include the “See The Girl” campaign for the Delores Barr Weaver Policy Center, and giving an identity to the United States Department of Agriculture Child Nutrition Programs. I’ve been able to apply my talent to groups who are passionate about shaping the world around them for the better. There’s nothing more rewarding than knowing the designs I’ve developed are being used to help our clients tell meaningful stories that build awareness and strengthen the reputation they have within their markets.
